FALL FESTIVAL with Barn Dance

11am to 4pm (Barn dance from 3pm-5pm)
Tickets sold at the door. Doors open at 11am.
Admission: $10 per person; $6 ages 12 and under; $25 family rate (2 adults with children under age 18 from same household). The barn dance is included with the price of admission, otherwise it is by donation ($5 suggested).
Members' rate is $8 per person; $5 ages 12 and under; $20 family rate.

Harvest cooking in the cottage, blacksmithing demonstrations, apple pressing and shingle making demonstrations in the barn, storytelling, one-room schoolhouse, mansion tours, music, and more.
*Mercey Lovejoy, 19th-century town pauper, presents Coffin Stories in the Washburn Kitchen from 1:30pm to 3:00pm.
*Children's Craft Activity and Games (11:00am - 1:00pm)
*One-room Schoolhouse open from Noon to 4pm
*Music by Stephen Sanfilippo in the farmer's cottage from 11am - 2pm. Songs of the Civil War era and traditional American folk songs, mostly of rural life in the late Colonial and Early Republic period, on banjo, guitar, harmonica and accordian.

*Special Washburn-Inspired Pumpkin Hunt, for all ages!
*Blacksmithing demonstrations with Hannes Moll of Skowhegan
*Press Apples in the barn and String Apples in the farmer's cottage, while supplies last
*Tours of the 1867 Washburn Family Mansion
*Gift Shop open with Norlands own maple syrup and other items for sale
BARN DANCE begins at 3pm. Included with the price of admission; otherwise by donation ($5 suggested)
In memory of Nancy Bibeau, long-time volunteer. Hosted by Jessie Fortin, Nancy's granddaughter.
Music provided by Paul Harnden and friends on keyboard and drums.
A variety of dances will be called - from country (contra) dances to waltzes.
Come in costume if you wish! Refreshments provided.
All proceeds benefit Norlands' programs.
